Set 08 was written a year *after* Set 09, this time for the tape “Evolution”. Here’s a classic example for slowly building ambient that’s based on sounds and not on melody... Really great to chill out too. Again, most of the atmosphere in this track evolves out of the options to modulate provided by the Wavestation. If you listen closely you’ll hear a chirping kinda sound in the background - it’s an own creation that found it’s way into more tracks later...

Besides the basic sounds, Set 08 is a good example for my way to put effects on everything: I can’t stand ‘dry’ synthesizer-sounds, I almost every single time have to ‘enhance’ them by using phasers, flangers, echoes, or in this case a long delay... I believe it gives my music part of it’s spaced out feeling.
